We decided to have a day of rest, especially as this aire was so
relaxing next to the the river. We had a stroll round the small town, which has a couple of bakeries, chemist, corner shop, hair salons, bar, restaurant and a pizza takeaway.
Then we just had a lazy day back on the aire, resting and watching the boats passing by. This is one aire we most definitely would come back to if in the area.

Just be careful if you park on the river side if it very wet!!! We parked there last August with our big 7.5m twin axle Fiat Ducato Benimar and parked right at the end by the taps and the building. It rained heavily overnight and we couldn't get going in the morning because the wheels were spinning! Apparently it had happened to others too! We ended up having to walk towards the town and get bucket loads of gravel to provide a surface that we could get going on! It was a FABULOUS site right by the Seine! We would definitely go back again but better prepared!!
ReplyDeleteLovely place to stay. Just sit there and watch the world go by. One if my favourite places we stayed in France last year - and we stayed at a lot!!
